Finance Accountant
Permanent
Reading/ Hybrid working - 3 days in Office and 2 days Work from home
Join our dynamic team in Reading as a Finance Accountant Capex, supporting the Capex Investment Manager in managing and reporting on the company's capital expenditures and fixed assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & Month-End
- Ensure accuracy of Network Capex, including journal entries for accrued expenses and income.
- Produce balance sheet reconciliations and timely customer billing.
- Generate monthly Capex, WIP, fixed asset register, and asset retirement obligations by analysing large data sets.
- Prepare statutory accounts footnotes and provide external audit support.
- Handle customer-billing queries.
Reporting, Analysis, & Forecasting
- Produce monthly Capex results with commentary.
- Identify opportunities and risks related to business activities and capex drivers.
- Support the Finance Manager with variance analysis and key metrics.
- Improve accuracy and efficiency in finance processes.
- Own the Capex financial forecast and collaborate on budgeting.
Experience & Skills:
- Fully Qualified ACCA/ CIMA
- Strong financial accounting knowledge and stakeholder management experience.
- Finance Modelling experience
- Strong with Excel
- Strong Data Manipulation experience
- Agresso ERP software experience (desired).
