Job Description
Working for a major telecoms company in Berkshire, we are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to take the lead on a complex cloud & network transformation programme.
Within the role you be performing an assurance function across the portfolio to ensure the smooth delivery of a number of concurrent programmes and workstreams. Also working closely with the PMO to also ensure commercial and delivery alignment with multiple project teams and business stakeholders.
- Looking for someone with strong programme management skills, delivery experience and excellent control of programme governance
- Strong characters required, used to complex stakeholder management, contract and commercial management, as you will be managing suppliers/SIs from a programme delivery assurance perspective, as well as liaising with additional suppliers for Core, IT and OSS services.
- Line management (contract and perm employees)
- Will be interfacing with "Heads of" and Directors, so need excellent communication, and used to working in a pressured environment.
- Budget management circa £50M+ and control of internal/financial systems.
MUST HAVE skills:
- Telecoms networks - 3G, 4G, 5G networks, Cloud / infrastructure, OSS/BSS or IT systems and applications
- Set-up and delivery experience of complex programmes - with budget management circa £30-50M+
- Managed multiple workstreams or multiple programmes simultaneously
- Commercial awareness / contract knowledge, 3rd party supplier management
- Confident control of cross-programme governance and inter-dependency management
