Job Description
1st Line Network Support Engineer
Location: Solihull, Birmingham
Salary/Rate: £12 per hour
A 1st Line Network Support Engineer is urgently required by our Global IT Services Company working on a major defence contract for an initial 12 months contract (could be extended) based in Solihull, Birmingham.
We are looking for 1st Line Network Support Engineers to join a small team of highly skilled engineers based in Solihull to manage and support the Juniper Core Network. (MCN) WAN estate.
Primary Daily duties will be the Provision/Renewal and Support of PKI Prime & Certificate, this will also include a mixture of general support escalations/fault finding and project/implementation work.
The MCN is a high performance, high availability Juniper based network consisting of MX and SRX series devices.
Job Purpose and Accountabilities:
The candidate should be able to demonstrate that they have a good breadth and depth of technical experience in the support and management of Juniper MX and SRX series devices and be qualified to JNCIA/CCNA.
Applicants must have a minimum of SC clearance for this role.
Skills required
Knowledge and technical understanding of JUNOS and the Juniper family of routers and switches and firewalls.
Knowledge of Cisco family of routers and switches and firewalls.
Knowledge of MSC,TfS, RIO & CASD
SC clearance is also requirement for this role. If you do not hold SC clearance the client will sponsor you if successful.
