Senior Design Engineer (Radio & Backhaul)

As a Technical/Engineering Authority, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of their infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include creating design guidance for design and build suppliers, addressing both existing and emerging demand requirements. You'll be at the forefront of their industry, defining and executing strategies to meet design requirements aligned with customer demands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work seamlessly within a cross-functional team of industry experts, fostering an environment where everyone's voice is valued. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with professionals from various disciplines within the Company.
• Stay abreast of customer changes and requirements in a fast-paced, ever-evolving technological landscape. Value your input in supporting workshops with operators to assist their suppliers in navigating the challenges and opportunities presented by the industry.
• Serve as the Design Subject Matter Expert (SME) for backhaul delivery, focusing on traditional macro solutions. Additionally, contribute to future initiatives such as DAS, Small Cell, and other indoor coverage solutions as their service offerings expand.

Experience needed

• Extensive knowledge and understanding of the telecoms industry, e.g. who are the UK Mobile Network Operators, Fixed Line and Microwave backhaul technologies (along with the providers/vendors).
• Good knowledge and understanding of Macro Radio, DAS, Small cell and indoor coverage solutions
• Good understanding of L2 and L3 backhaul solutions and associated protocols.
