Job Description

This is a 12 month FTC, working for a market leading travel specialist.

Based in central west London, with occassional visits to their additional office in Oxfordshire.

The Internal Comms and Engagement Specialist is a member of the HR team, reporting to the Head of Internal Comms and Engagement. You will be responsible for producing creative, engaging and informative internal communications and supporting overall employee engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Head of Internal Comms and Engagement to support the delivery of internal communications and engagement strategy in both the US and UK, building strong working relationships with key people in every office.
  • Co-ordinate and manage the Internal Comms Calendar, aligning it to the 2019 internal comms and engagement plan.
  • Design and deliver creative, engaging and informative internal communications, making sure it supports business strategy, company values and employer brand / tone of voice.
  • Co-ordinate and support all content for monthly Town Halls and Company Meetings.
  • Co-ordinate, design and deliver all content for monthly news updates.
  • Work with the Head of Internal Comms and Engagement, wider HR team and US / UK Social Committees to successfully deliver annual US and UK AGM meetings.
  • Work with the Head of Internal Comms and Engagement and the wider HR team to support the delivery of annual Best Companies and Outside employee engagement surveys, completing submissions within the set timescales.
  • Support the Head of Internal Comms and Engagement to manage all key internal communications and engagement content on the HRIS and intranet, keeping it up-to-date.
  • Support all business-as-usual communications and engagement activities.

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Educated to graduate level or marketing equivalent.
  • Marketing / communications experience.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering effective, high quality internal communications and engagement projects.
  • Experience of working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working across multiple projects to tight timescales with limited budgets.
  • Proven ability to write clear and engaging content that engages and connects people.
  • A highly organised, creative and confident communicator, able to demonstrate high levels of attention to detail.
  • A flexible team player with a high level of initiative who is able to create positive working relationships at all levels.
  • A positive person with a calm and professional manner who enjoys a challenge and is comfortable with change.

Desired:

  • CIPD qualified/part qualified
  • Experience of working with a US business with awareness of cultural differences and best practice
  • Experience of working with employee engagement surveys.

  • Excellent communications skills - written and verbal.
  • Track record in the design and delivery of strategic internal communications and engagement programmes and projects.
  • Proven ability to write clear and engaging content that engages and connects people.
  • Experienced in taking a communications idea from concept to reality with creativity and attention to detail across a wide variety of communications channels and media.
  • Strong organisational, time management and project management skills.
  • Confident taking responsibility, prioritising effectively and delivering projects to time and budget.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • IT skills - confident in Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Sharepoint and company intranet.
