Context:
Commercial has been formed to create a centralised model for commercial delivery and is accountable for establishing and supporting that model within MBNL by setting the commercial policy(ies), standards and framework, ensuring that high standards of procurement, commercial, supplier and contract management are achieved, efficiently, throughout MBNL.
In your role, you will be responsible for supporting the Commercial team by being part of an evolving but effective Commercial Office that offer a range of responsibilities including all Commercial systems & data management, Supplier onboarding (NDA's & PQQ's), internal auditing, reporting, PO approvals and Indirect category management.
The focus of this role will be around the support of our Supplier Onboarding Process (PQQs), Purchase Order approvals, management of the team mailbox and contract uploads. You'll be working with the wider Commercial team including senior members, supporting ad-hoc duties when required. This role will be supported by the Commercial Office Manager and offers the opportunity for development into Commercial processes, systems & data. This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week from our offices in Reading.
What you will do:
- Responsible for managing an effective supplier onboarding process (PQQ's)
- Maintaining up to date certification documents against our contracted suppliers
- Monitoring team mailbox to respond to enquiries or forwarding on to relevant people.
- Supporting internal audits to ensure compliance to commercial processes.
- Maintaining up to date contact details for active suppliers
- Approval of purchase orders as required.
- Uploading "parts" to ERP system via an excel template.
- Helping to ensure data held in various systems is valid and accurate.
- Supporting the development of the Commercial Office and the services it needs to offer.
What we are looking for:
- Business Management Degree
- Can-do attitude & Proactive approach
- Excellent organisational ability
- Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks at once.
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with Commercial processes
- Experience with systems.
- Understanding of SharePoint
