Job Description

The Role:

We are seeking an Energy Data Analyst to join the Property Operations Team for one of the largest broadband providers within the UK to lead the drive in making energy data work for us. The role occupier will take responsibility to build these capabilities and manage it to result in energy and cost savings.

What you can expect to be doing:

  • Be a key contributor to governance forums, by making recommendations and writing the business cases to influence the reduction of significant energy usage on sites
  • Present this to key shareholder counterparts and influence change in the ways they behave
  • Be a key contributor to the successful delivery of the annual Energy Outcome
  • Lead projects through data to reduce the shared energy at our sites
  • Recommend and write the business cases to influence the reduction of significant energy usage on sites
  • Present this to key shareholder counterparts and influence change in the ways they behave
  • Analysis and make recommendations based on energy data for shareholders and business - supporting energy consumption and cost saving initiatives
  • Establish a process to identify exceptions in consumption patterns and gain assurance that these are driven by expected factors.
  • Segment, analyse and determine different scenarios to demonstrate trends and usage patterns. If this is outsourced, be the authority on data quality and accuracy.
  • Ensure suitability, quality and review of regular data presented into shareholders. In time taking full responsibility for the annual energy data requirements for shareholders and business
  • Support development of existing reporting with energy bureau
  • Lead the modernisation and CSI of tools, reporting mechanisms and processes associated to managing the networks energy portfolio
  • Provide the data to support the optimisation of the power portfolio including the removing or altering of unnecessary power infrastructure.
  • Lead the interactions between Property Operations and Finance to set annual budgets and reporting to support re-forecasts of the energy budget
  • Identify improvement initiatives to reduce site running opex and increase resilience of the network, focusing on solutions that provide long term value in respect of cost reduction or performance improvements.

What we are looking for:

  • Recent experience of using Microsoft Suite, particularly PowerBi and Excel
  • Ability to draw conclusions and themes from data and take initiative to drive continuous process improvements.
  • Good financial control skills
  • Excellent reporting and communication
  • Good understanding of mobile and power infrastructure.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
