The Commercial Manager forms part of the Commercial & Portfolio directorate and is key to supporting MBNL strategic vision to transform into an Infrastructure Management Company. This role will sit in the Commercial centre of excellence. Commercial own the commercial strategy supporting our corporate outcomes and provide support to the wider business including leading on all procurement, commercial, supplier and contract management activities, and coordination of overall supplier relationships.

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting a key strategic RFP to select appropriate suppliers and negotiating the contract for a significant outsourced service relating to the management of the infrastructure.

Responsibilities of the Commercial Manager include:

  • Draft, negotiate and award supplier contracts with support from MBNL Legal.
  • Implement and manage change control process for key MBNL contracts.
  • Ensure contractual governance / approval mechanisms are applied.
  • Provide briefings and present recommendations to both shareholders.
  • Be self-driven and able to work with minimal management supervision in a dynamic and challenging environment with tight timelines.

The successful Commercial Manager will have:

  • Previous experience of leading RFPs for key outsourced services.
  • Negotiating complex framework contracts
  • Good understanding of contract law
  • Significant Supplier & Contract management experience
  • Telecoms and/or infrastructure management industry experience
