Job Description
1st Line Support - IPTV
6 months initial contract
ASAP
This leading telecoms company are seeking a 1st Line Support Engineer to join their team near Slough, Berkshire.
Working on a 24/7 shift basis you will be responsible for the coordination, support, management and execution of 1st level maintenance activities. You will be typically assigned to work with alarm monitoring, service quality surveillance and ensuring that all events on the network get escalated to the relevant function via a ticketing system.
You will have:
- MUST have a background within Broadcast
- Telecom/ISP/Enterprise industry experience
- Previous experience in a network support role within a NOC environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in SRF support activities and troubleshooting of IP related network issues and tickets (routers, switches and firewall etc)
- Good experience of multi vendor routers and switches (Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel etc)
- CCNA/CCIP/CCNP qualification or equivalent
